What’s New in GeM 4.0 (Government eMarket Place). Initial Guide to your GeM Queries
Dear Friends,
In my last blog, I have given the glimpse of how GeM Portal enables complete transparent way of doing Public Procurement.
Often, people have a perception that Government initiatives will always have plenty of problems and issues…. However, it is suggested to navigate the latest updates on the GeM Portal where the GeM SPV team has successfully provided us a user-friendly interface. .
Great work done SPV team.. . Keep it up!!!
GeM 4.0 version is helping GeM Users by resolving some of the practical issues which are as follows:
1) Supplementary Invoice Option – In the previous version of GeM once the Vendor despatched the goods, buyer have the option of either accept it or reject it . Considering the practical issues faced by both buyers and sellers, GeM Portal introduce d the option of ‘Supplementary Invoice generation’ whereby Sellers have the option to replace the rejected goods in the same Order
2) Staggered delivery enables continuous supply of goods by the sellers
3) Creation of PRC (Provisional Receipt Certificate) that triggers updates on the same day before generating the actual CRAC (Consignee Receipt Acceptance Certificate)
4) System does now allows for delivery of same item to same Consignee at different delivery dates, so same to be configured for recurring requirements
5) System allows defining Primary & Secondary consignee location in case physical delivery is to be made at multiple locations with CRAC preparation by single officer.
6) System allows Buyer to create BID by adding 5 more parameters with values to the existing Product
7) System enabled Custom BID option
Will write in details about some of the features in detail in my next blog till then explore GeM Portal and deep dive with new features that will be useful for you to participate in Public Procurement activates.
